Wanted:

Giant, fat Tabby cat. If you see him, lure him to you with bologna / female cat, catch him, and please bring him to my house.
Reward: $100 [and I'll pay you back for the bologna too]
My cat Socks has run away, unfortunately. He kind of got mad at my sister since she moved him to a new location (aka her new apartment) and he's been pissy about it, to the point that he hasn't come home in two - three weeks. So... this is my goodbye post to my lovely cat Socks.

Here's the poem I wrote about him for Creative Writing class last semester:
Oh, Socks the kitten
Just about as tiny as a single mitten
His mews can be heard from miles away
And it's just so adorable, the way he sways
As he tries to put one foot in front of the other
Ending up tumbling into the soft fur of his mother

Oh, Socks the adolescent cat
Just about as big as a cowboy hat
As he chews on the brim of one
His yellow eyes lit up with exhilaration
And it's just so adorable the way he thinks
Believing no one notices him drinking out of the sink
As he tries to hop up onto the counter and grab a sip
And ends up tumbling back to the floor after a quick whip

Oh, Socks the cat
Just about as big as a basketball
As he lounges on a rug in the hall
And it's just so adorable the way he sleeps
Believing that every spot is available for a bed
As someone's foot trips over his poor little head
He blinks, watching them lumber
Before settling back into his slumber
Oh, Socks the cat!

I will miss you, my furry feline best friend.
